The Faculty of Literature was established in 1957 with two undergraduate programmes: Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic History and Civilisation. In 2002, the college became the College of Arts and Humanities with three humanities-related undergraduate programmes: Translation, Library Science and English Literature, and two more master's programmes in 2012: Islamic History and Culture and Arabic Language and Literature. All study programmes are nationally accredited by BANPT (the National Accreditation Board).
