South Tangerang, FAH News Online - 4 November 2025, Tarjamah Study Program presents guest lecturers from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Prof. Ts. Dr Muhammad Sabri bin Sahrir. He is a lecturer at the Department of Language and Literacy, Kuliyyah of Education who also serves as deputy dean at the same faculty.

In his lecture with the theme Arabic Linguistics and Contemporary Language Issues, he said that the career map for graduates majoring in Translator Linguistics (Translator), Linguistics Professor (Professor of Linguistics), Foreign Language Teacher (Foreign Language Teacher), Speech Pathologist (Speech Pathologist), Forensic Linguist (Forensic Linguist), Lexicographer (Dictionary Compiler), Computational Linguist (Computational Linguist), Copywriter, Editor, Librarian (Librarian), Author (Author), and Reporter. Linguistics graduates have a wide range of career opportunities, from education and translation, to technology, writing and more specific language research. Contemporary language issues can be derived from the scope of that career.

This international guest culinary activity was immediately welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, M. Hum. He said that this international guest lecture is expected to be able to bring an academic culture and environment that supports student research and publications as well as international cooperation in the form of Student Mobility, internships and scientific journal relations. International guest lectures are also an important part of lectures in the Arabic Linguistics course Prodi Tarjamah, said Dr. Mauidlotun Nisa’, M.Hum. as a lecturer who teaches this course. Also present were Master of Arabic students from across Faculties who were studying contemporary language issues. This activity was also attended by lecturer at the Tarjamah Study Program, Dr. Nurul Aini is also a member of the Arabic Linguistics course teaching team. This activity was carried out successfully and was very interactive, especially regarding the problems and issues of contemporary Arabic in Indonesia and Malaysia.
