FAH Building, FAH Online News – The Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH), Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, held a Study Program Work Meeting in the FAH Main Conference Room on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The event aimed to coordinate and develop teaching and learning instruments through the preparation of Semester Learning Plans (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester/RPS) for the 2025 Curriculum and the refinement of RPS documents for the 2020 Curriculum.

The event opened with remarks by the Dean of FAH UIN Jakarta, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum. In his address, the Dean officially opened the work meeting, which forms part of the efforts to coordinate and develop teaching and learning instruments within the Library and Information Science Study Program. The meeting served as a forum for lecturers to align the preparation of RPS documents with the applicable guidelines and formats, while also supporting improvements in the quality of instructional planning across the faculty.

The event continued with a presentation by Riyan Adi Putra, M.Hum., on the preparation of RPS documents and the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in instructional planning and student assessment.

In his presentation, he discussed the importance of designing assessments that cover all components of the learning evaluation process. Lecturers were also encouraged to use the latest RPS format, including the completion of approval sheets and the identification of those responsible for developing the RPS, as well as the classification of courses and the arrangement of face-to-face and online learning formats.

The discussion also emphasized the alignment between Graduate Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan/CPL), Course Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah/CPMK), and Sub-Course Learning Outcomes (Sub-CPMK). CPMK are developed as derivatives of relevant CPL for each course, while Sub-CPMK are formulated based on the topics or subject matter covered. Their formulation may be adjusted according to the scope of the material and the duration of instruction.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed assessment provisions in the 2025 Curriculum RPS, including the allocation of weights for the Midterm Examination (Ujian Tengah Semester/UTS) and Final Examination (Ujian Akhir Semester/UAS) to Sub-CPMK, as well as the use of testing techniques for the midterm examination. Course agreements and discussions of RPS documents are no longer listed as separate sessions in the RPS. In terms of academic integration, lecturers may incorporate findings from their own research into course materials.

Following the presentation, the meeting continued with individual RPS preparation by lecturers from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB). During this session, lecturers prepared and adjusted their RPS documents according to the courses they taught, referring to the latest guidelines and formats presented during the meeting.

Through this activity, the Library and Information Science Study Program at FAH UIN Jakarta seeks to strengthen coordination among lecturers in developing teaching and learning instruments. The preparation and refinement of RPS documents are expected to support more structured and measurable instructional planning that aligns with the learning outcomes established by the study program.
