Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah JakartaOnline News FAH, South Tangerang — From Tuesday to Monday, April 15–28, 2026, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully organized a series of activities for the Autonomous Institution Festival (LO Fest) 2026, a collaboration between ARTEFAH, PUSAKA, PUSTIKUM, and CREATIFAH. This event carried the theme “Echoes of Literacy: Elevating Feelings, Grounding Creativity” as a form of developing students’ creativity in the fields of arts, culture, literacy, and technology.

The LO Fest 2026 series consisted of competitions, workshops, seminars, and art performances. The competitions included essay writing, poetry, poster design, and short movie contests, with participants from various schools and universities such as Brawijaya University, Airlangga University, and State University of Surabaya, as well as universities across Indonesia. Besides serving as a competition platform, the event also aimed to strengthen relationships among students and the academic community of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.

The ARTEFAH workshop themed “AI & Content Planner” opened the LO Fest 2026 series on April 15, 2026, at the Abdul Ghani Theater of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities. The workshop featured Muhammad Nurul Yasin as the speaker, discussing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creating creative content in the digital era.

The Vice Dean III for Student Affairs of FAH, Prof. Dr. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A., Ph.D., was also present to provide strategic guidance and officially open LO Fest 2026. Prof. Usep shared insightful perspectives on the importance of integrating humanities scholarship traditions with modern technological tools so that graduates remain highly competitive in the workforce. He highly appreciated the students’ proactive efforts in organizing this innovative event and encouraged all participants to explore future technological potential ethically and responsibly.

The series of activities continued with CREATIFAH through a workshop themed “Creatifah Branding” on April 21, 2026, focusing on developing students’ branding skills in the digital era. Furthermore, PUSTIKUM organized a workshop titled “The Role of Turnitin in Maintaining the Originality of Academic Works in Higher Education” on April 22, 2026, to increase students’ understanding of the importance of academic originality.

On April 23, 2026, PUSAKA also organized a seminar themed “Literary Archives as the Nation’s Intellectual Heritage.” The seminar discussed the importance of preserving literary archives as part of the nation’s cultural identity.

The peak of LO Fest 2026 was held on April 28, 2026, at the courtyard of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities Library, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The event was lively with the announcement of competition winners, band performances, poetry theater by Teater Syahid, stand-up comedy, and traditional dances from ARTEFAH. The enthusiasm of participants and audiences made LO Fest 2026 a vibrant and inspiring platform for student creativity appreciation.

In his remarks, the Chairperson of LO Fest 2026 expressed appreciation to all parties who supported the implementation of the event. “This series of events has been a long journey that successfully organized 4 national competitions, 2 national seminars, and 2 national workshops. All these achievements are the result of dedication and extraordinary synergy among all committee members,” he stated. He also added that the grand finale night of LO Fest 2026 was presented as a form of appreciation for the hard work of the committee and everyone involved. “As a form of appreciation for this hard work, during the grand finale we presented performances by local campus bands and other talented performers. Thank you to everyone who has supported this event. Hopefully, this success will provide sustainable benefits and can be continued by future generations,” he added.

LO Fest 2026 was also supported by sponsor Sari Roti, which participated in supporting the continuity of the event in accordance with the agreed collaboration.
