South Tangerang, FAH Online News – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has successfully carried out Socialization and Promotion activities (SOSPROM) to introduce undergraduate study programs (S1) to students and students at several educational institutions and Islamic boarding schools. This activity, which will take place on 8-10 October 2024 in Surabaya, carries the theme "Increasing New Students in Undergraduate Study Programs within the Faculty of Adab and Humanities through Collaboration Pathways and Talent Scouting."

SOSPROM 2024 begins with a visit to MAN-PK 4 Denanyar Jombang which is under the auspices of the Mamba'ul Ma'arif Deanyar Jombang Islamic Boarding School. The group was received directly by Principal Moh. Ilyas, Lc., MMPd and the 12th grade students. The journey continued the next day to Madrasah Aliyah Bilingual Al Amanah in Sidoarjo, and was received directly by the caretaker of the al-Amanah Islamic Boarding School, namely KH. Nurcholis Misbah and Mrs. Nyai Hj. Rifa'atul Mahmudah along with the Principal and teachers as well as Madrasah Aliyah students. The third day the FAH group returned to Jombang, namely to the Darul Ulum Rejoso Islamic Boarding School, namely to the Darul Ulum Flagship Madrasah Aliyah in Jombang. The FAH group was also received directly by the Pondok Father KH Caretaker. Cholil Dahlan along with the principal and asatidz. This activity aims to increase students' understanding of the study programs offered at FAH, such as the History of Islamic Civilization (SPI), English Literature (SASING), and Library Science (IP), Arabic Language and Literature (BSA) study programs & Tarjamah study program so that it can be the main choice when continuing your education at university.

Dr. Hj. Siti Amsariah, M.Ag, Deputy Dean II of FAH UIN Jakarta, leads a team of nine people, including the head and secretary of the study program as well as support staff. The study program leaders who were also present included Dr. Zakiya Darojat, MA (SPI Head of Study Program), Nurul Azizah, M.Hum (SPI Secretary of Study Program), Inayatul Chusna, M.Hum (SASING Head of Study Program), M. Agus Suriadi, M.Hum (SASING Study Program Secretary), Siti Maryam, S.Ag, M.Hum (IP Study Program Head), and Hikmah Irfaniah, M.Hum (IP Study Program Secretary). This activity also involved teaching staff Iffah Zahriyani and Rahmat Hidayat, S.Kom.

In his speech, Dr. Siti Amsariah conveys the meaning of the saying: “People who love knowledge should not just remain silent. There are people who love knowledge and manners, so they are willing to leave their homeland and hometown to find a replacement.” He also emphasized the importance of friendship and seeking blessings from the teachers and kyai in the hut.

In his presentation, Dr. Siti Amsariah explained that FAH UIN Jakarta provides several new student admission routes, including Talent Scouting and collaboration with educational institutions. Through Talent Scouting, FAH selects prospective students who have special talents or achievements in various fields, such as sports, art and translation. Apart from that, a collaboration route was built to direct students from schools and Islamic boarding schools to continue their studies at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah.

This activity was greeted with great enthusiasm by the principal, students and students at each location. They actively participate in question and answer sessions that take place interactively, showing great interest in the study programs offered.

With the implementation of SOSPROM 2024, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah hopes to attract more qualified and talented new student candidates, as well as expand the reach of collaboration with various educational institutions throughout Indonesia.
