The Library Science Study Program held a webinar on Thursday, June 13, 2024, through the zoom meeting page. The event invited four librarians from different libraries. Starting from the School Library, University Library, Metro TV Library, and BRIN National Scientific Repository Governance Function Executor.

The webinar was opened with remarks by the MC, Mita Triandini Putri, as well as the recitation of Al- Quran verses by one of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library Science students, Ahmad Mujahidin. Then continued with remarks from the Head of UIN Jakarta Library Science Study Program, Mrs. Siti Maryam S., A.g., S. S., M. Hum.

In her remarks, Mrs. Maryam conveyed the importance of this event in increasing knowledge and insight into the librarian profession, and hoped that the knowledge conveyed could be useful and become amal jariyah for all,

"Yes ... Hopefully the knowledge shared can be useful and can be amal jariyah for all of us in the future," she said.

This event was guided by one of the Library Science Lecturers, Fahma Rianti M. Hum, as a Host who helped direct the speakers during the webinar. There were four speakers in this event, the first was Mrs. Heri Sulistyowati, S. Hum. Who delivered material related to Digital Library at Metro TV. In her material, she tells what the librarians there do in managing digital and electronic collections, there are four sections in Metro TV's Digital Library, namely Direct Recording, Dalet Ingest, Cataloging, Indexing & Archiving, and Library Services, then discussions related to workflow, and other activities.

Followed by Mrs. Ludya Arica Bakti, M.Hum, as the Executive of the National Scientific Repository Governance Function, BRIN. Where the collection managed is more of a digital repository collection, BRIN as a data processing place is useful for increasing the added value of the data.  In his presentation, it was explained that in RIN (National Scientific Repository), data managed with the Dataverse Project (from Harvard) is divided by Data Type, Format Type, Quota and Size, and Access.

Then the event continued with the delivery of material from Mrs. Ambar Pratiwi, S.Hum., M.M., as Ka. UPT II Tarumanegara University Library. Discussing what to do as a university librarian, Mrs. Ambar said that University Librarians must be literate in technology (SLiMs, Linktree, E-Resources). In addition, librarians should also participate in social networking with other librarians/libraries, both HR collaboration, library material sources, and so on. Then librarians must also be willing to develop themselves by attending competency certification, further schooling, or participating in activities (for example call paper activities).

The Deputy Head of Libraries of British School Jakarta, Dwi Retno Widaty, S. Hum. explained that being a school librarian is not only about books, but also about children. The important elements of a school library are People, Space, and Collection.
