Road Show Vice Chancellor II UIN Jakarta: Facility Development at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities
South Tangerang, FAH News Online – On Monday, 27 October 2024, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta received a visit from Warek II for General Administration, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi, MA, on the Road Show agenda for developing FAH Building facilities. This activity is part of the Deputy Chancellor II's ongoing program, which not only includes FAH, but also other faculties at UIN Jakarta.
This agenda aims to discuss the development of facilities and infrastructure at FAH in order to improve the quality of education and student experience. This activity was carried out with the UIN Jakarta general department team led by Drs. Saroni, as well as involving the finance and architecture team who will design the new building.
In his speech, Warek II Prof. Dr. Imam Subhi, MA, stated that this activity had received permission from the Chancellor. He stressed the importance of adequate infrastructure to support the teaching and learning process. “Renovation of the FAH Building is very necessary because it is currently in less than ideal condition,” he said.
During his visit, Warek II expressed concern about the condition of the FAH Building, especially on the 5th floor which experienced damage and leaks. He emphasized that the safety of its occupants must be a top priority, so it is necessary to carry out careful inspections to determine which parts require repair.
Warek II also noted that the computer lab at FAH had to be replaced immediately, as well as some seats in the classroom that needed repairs. He emphasized the need to immediately create a Term of Reference (TOR) for renovation applications with a 50:50 financing scheme between UIN and the faculty.
Dean of FAH, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, M.Hum, on the same occasion, revealed several structural issues, including damage to the toilet section of the building. He also highlighted the need for attention to drainage as well as plans to open an interior design study program as a strategic step to attract students' interest.
Deputy Dean III Prof. Dr. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., MA, MA PhD proposed adding soundproof workshop space and multifunctional facilities in the parking area. Warek II added that sports facilities must also be considered in this development plan.
avina, a design team representative, reminded the importance of having a layout plan that supports building development, and is committed to coordinating with the faculty in preparing the right TOR.
With a collaborative spirit, all parties hope that these plans can be realized soon for the progress of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Jakarta. The event closed with the hope that all these efforts would have a positive impact on the quality of education in FAH and that infrastructure development could be completed on time.
