FAH Building, FAH News Online, 25 November 2025 — Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta carries out Socialization activities for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) through the presentation of educational banners to the Faculty of Adab and Humanities. The activity took place on Tuesday, November 25 2025, at the Dean's Courtroom on the 2nd Floor.
The presentation of the banner was carried out by the Chairman of PSGA, Dr. Hj. Wiwi Siti Sajaroh, M.Ag., and was received directly by the Faculty leadership consisting of the Dean, Deputy Deans, lecturer representatives, PPKS Task Force Team, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, as well as student representatives who were also present at the agenda.
The banner submitted contains information on procedures for reporting complaints of violence, as well as education about various forms of violence, including physical, non-physical, verbal and sexual violence, which are aimed at increasing the literacy of campus residents and encouraging courage in reporting.
This activity is part of PSGA's ongoing commitment to strengthening its educational and preventive function regarding cases of sexual violence that can occur in higher education environments. Through the dissemination of visual materials that are easy to understand and placed in strategic spaces on campus, it is hoped that the entire academic community can better understand the flow of reporting and their rights to obtain protection.
Apart from handing over banners, this activity is also a momentum for coordination and strengthening synergy between PSGA and the Faculty of Adab and Humanities in supporting more effective implementation of PPKS policies. The presence of various elements, including students, faculty leaders, teaching staff, and the PPKS Task Force, shows the importance of collaboration and collective awareness to create a campus that is safe, friendly and free from violence.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities expressed his full appreciation and support for PSGA's strategic steps in strengthening the anti-violence movement in the academic environment.
“We express our gratitude and appreciation to PSGA for its dedication and real work in encouraging a safe campus culture with a gender perspective. The presence of banners and all educational media really helps the faculty in optimizing PPKS socialization, especially to provide courage and space for students and the entire community in submitting reports responsibly.”
He added that the Faculty of Adab and Humanities is ready to work with PSGA in strengthening character education, human values and academic ethics.
“We are committed to making this faculty a safe zone, free from violence and discrimination, and continue to synergize with PSGA through educational, training, mentoring and strengthening programs for the Task Force. These efforts are important so that the campus becomes a comfortable and dignified space for all academic residents.”
“We hand over this banner as a form of the seriousness of PSGA and UIN Jakarta in encouraging mutual awareness regarding the importance of preventing sexual violence on campus. Visual education like this is very effective in reminding the academic community that the campus is a safe space, free from violence and discrimination.”
He also emphasized that the campus has a moral and academic responsibility to provide a safe reporting space, a structured mentoring system, and openly accessible information.
Furthermore, Dr. Wiwi conveyed several PSGA strategic plans for the future, including:
“After the distribution of this banner, we will strengthen training and mentoring programs for the PPKS Task Force, expand cross-faculty cooperation, and develop data-based research on cases of sexual violence and child protection. The hope is that these steps can increase collective awareness to create an inclusive and friendly campus for all.”
The activity closed with a group photo session and a commitment to continue fighting all forms of violence in the college environment. The Faculty of Adab and Humanities welcomes the PSGA initiative and is committed to supporting the implementation of PPKS policies in a sustainable manner.
