PBAK 2025 FAH UIN Jakarta Officially Closed, New Students Ready to Step
South Tangerang, FAH Online News – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially closed the 2025 Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) series on Friday, 08/29/2025. The closure took place in the FAH parking lot in the afternoon after a series of department level PBAKs which had been held since morning.
The closing event was chaired by Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., MA. (Leiden), M.A. (Duke), Ph.D. (Monash) as Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation. In his direction, Prof. Usep emphasized the importance of maintaining the conduciveness of the event until completion and reminded new students to immediately fill out the graduation form on time as a requirement for academic administration, as well as a link to the PBAK literacy survey.
“On behalf of the Chancellor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, I welcome you. De facto, new students have been officially declared to have passed PBAK,” said Prof. Usep.
Furthermore, he emphasized that all PBAK activities must be closed before 17.00 WIB in accordance with the provisions. “There should be no more meetings or activities after five in the afternoon,” he stressed.
On this occasion, Prof. Usep also emphasizes the importance of manners for new students. “People will not reach their destination without manners, and they will not fall if they are manners,” he said meaningfully.
The closing of PBAK was also filled with the presentation of prizes to outstanding participants, including the best introductory video category. In closing, all new students take part in the Student Oath Reading led by the Chair of the FAH Student Executive Board (DEMA).
After the official event closed with the reading of hamdalah and the kafaratul majlis prayer by Prof. Usep, new students are directed by their respective departments to perform Asr prayers in congregation, then return to their respective residences.
