Officially Opened! PUSAKA Autonomous Institution Participates in the 2025 Pustakarsa Festival, Celebrating Creativity and Literacy
akarta, FAH News Online – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Library and Archives Service officially opened the 2025 Pustakarsa Festival on Tuesday (14/10/2025) at the Ali Sadikin Building, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta City. This festival is a form of literacy, archives and literature collaboration with the theme “Reading, Writing, Remembering, Welcoming the 5 (Five) Centuries of Jakarta”. The event will be held today and ends on October 22.
The Festival event started at noon and opened with a speech by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Library and Archives Service, Mr. Nasruddin Djoko Surjono. He said how important this event was in welcoming literacy culture and reviving collective memories of the progress of Jakarta city civilization. “This festival is not just a formality, but as a large space where we reread travel since five centuries ago which has become a symbol of the civilization of progress in the city of Jakarta,” he said.
The series of events continued with the inauguration of Bunda Literasi, Mrs. Endang Nugrahani and the 2025 Jakarta Reading Ambassador, Farel Alfariza Kurniawan. This inauguration is a strategic step in strengthening the culture of literacy in society, as well as a form of support for government programs in the field of literacy. It is hoped that both of them can build a literacy community network and become an effort to increase interest in reading and love of literacy in the region.
The activity of signing a memorandum of agreement between the National Archives Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is in the synergy of archives programs.
The event was attended by a number of important guests, including the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian historians, the academic community from various campuses, such as the University of Indonesia (UI), Jakarta State University (UNJ), YARSI University, and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, as well as high school students.
The PUSAKA Autonomous Institution was also present as a representative from UIN Jakarta to fulfill the invitation to enliven the festival event. This moment of visit became a new experience for PUSAKA in expanding its insight and knowledge of archives.
Archives Exhibition with the theme “Lo Sell, I Buy: Five Century Flashback to Jakarta Kota Dagang” successfully enlivened the festival. A number of exhibition booths from various companies took part in enlivening the archival exhibition. Starting from PT Gunnebo, PT Indoraj, Jakpro, MRT, TransJakarta, and others.
Today's series of events closed with a Seminar Tracing the Historical Traces of the City of Jakarta which was hosted by the moderator, Rifandi Septiawan Nugroho and filled with several resource persons, one of whom was the Dean of FIB University of Indonesia, Dr. Bondan Kanumoyoso, M. Hum. However, subsequent events will continue until the festival closes.
