New History: First PBAK Master's and Doctoral Level at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities
South Tangerang, FAH Online News - In a series of activities to Introduce New Students for the 2025 academic year, the Master of Islamic History and Culture study program and the Doctor of History of Islamic Civilization held a meeting on Thursday, 04 September 2025.
Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, provides direction and motivation to new students. In his speech, he emphasized that students as the nation's next generation must have critical thinking skills, strong morals, and skills in applying the knowledge they learn.
“Students must print international works indexed by Scopus and nationally and start designing strategies for writing theses and dissertations” said Dr. Ade Abdul Hak in front of new students.
He also emphasized the importance of enthusiasm and discipline in undergoing the study period. “I hope students are able to maintain motivation, study seriously, and graduate on time. It is a form of responsibility, both to oneself, parents and the university,” he added.
Apart from emphasizing academic achievement, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak also encourages students to actively participate in national and international scientific forums. According to him, student involvement in conferences and seminars not only broadens horizons, but also strengthens academic networks that are useful for the future.
“Students must have the courage to appear and be involved in national and international conferences, and start getting used to writing scientific articles. "That way, they not only study in the classroom, but also become part of the development of science globally," he explained.
This new student introduction activity is held as an entry point for students to understand academic life at university. Through this activity, students are expected to not only get to know the campus environment, but also understand academic demands, opportunities for self-development, and moral responsibility as part of the scientific community.
With this message, the Dean invited all new students to make the study period a golden momentum in honing their potential, both in academic and non-academic fields. The hope is that the graduates produced will not only be intellectually intelligent, but also have high competitiveness and strong integrity in facing future challenges.
