South Tangerang, FAH News Online - The Library Science Study Program Student Association (HMPS) Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has successfully ended a series of student service activities. The agenda for closing JIPERS MENGABDI 2026 was implemented online via the Google Meet platform on Saturday (21/02/2026), by presenting the leadership of faculties, study programs, alumni and all student participants. Unlike the offline opening, the virtual meeting became a space for participants to reflect on the professional experience they had had for a whole month in various partner agencies.
The event began with remarks from Irfan M. Nasir, S.IP., as Chair of the Alumni Association of the Department of Library Science, who expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the participants even though the activities took place in the atmosphere of the month of Ramadan. He emphasized that this internship is very important for training communication, ethics and professionalism, as well as encouraging students to master Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in facing future developments in the library world. In line with this, the Chair of HMPS Library Science for the 2024–2025 period, Kohandika, expressed his gratitude for the smooth running of this program and emphasized that true competence is not only built through theory in the classroom, but also through practice and direct empathy in society.
Full support was also expressed by the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Usep Abdul Matin, MA, MA, Ph.D., who reminds students to immediately complete their accountability report and maintain academic achievements so they can graduate on time with cum laude honors. Meanwhile, Head of the Library Science Study Program, Dr. Siti Maryam, S.Ag., SS, M.Hum., highlighted the increase in the number of participants and institutional partners
in this program which has now reached 80 students. He likened this service activity to an effort to build bridges for future career opportunities and proposed that activity results reports be published in the form of official digital proceedings or bulletins.
During the service period, various student groups managed to make significant achievements at their respective placement locations. For example, Group 8 in the Archives Unit I of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture succeeded in inputting almost 1,800 static archive files into the national SIKN ANRI system, while Group 23 at the Depok City Archives Service digitized 9,528 archive data for junior high school diplomas. In the library sector, Group 14 at MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta successfully carried out stock taking of 12,000 collections in just 12 working days, and Group 12 at SDN Tanjung Barat 03 succeeded in realizing the "Tree House" program into a digital library. Apart from that, Group 13 at SMAN 111 Jakarta is also building a stable SLiMS system infrastructure as a basis for school accreditation.
This concrete experience made a lasting impression on the participants, as expressed by Sayyida Nafisa Aulia of the Group of 16, who felt they had gained a valuable understanding of responsibility and teamwork in the operation of school libraries. In closing, the Chief Executive of JIPERS MENGABDI 2026, Rafif Aryo Zaki, expressed his thanks to all committee members, participants and partner agencies who have provided meaningful learning spaces for students.
