Tebet Eco Park, Jakarta, FAH News Online, 15 November 2025, — Halaqah ilmiyyah li muhibbi al-lughoh al-`arabiyah (HIMLA) is again holding the annual Liqo’ al-Mahabbah activity, a family strengthening event as well as an academic development space for Arabic language students. This year, activities carry the theme:

“اللغة العربية: أساس التكوين العلمي وملامح الهوية للطلبة”

“Arabic: Scientific Foundations and Characteristics of Student Identity.”**

The activity was lively and full of enthusiasm at Tebet Eco Park from Saturday morning to evening, with a series of agendas ranging from workshops, FGDs, togetherness games, to gift exchanges. The entire series is packaged casually but still educationally.

HIMLA Trustees' Remarks: Keeping Space Clean from Campus Politics

 In his speech, Dr. Cahya Buana, MA, as the founder of HIMLA, reiterated the direction of the organization's movement: HIMLA is a forum for you to be creative and achieve without confusing it with campus politics. Please follow any organization PMII, HMI, IMM, or others, but when you are at HIMLA, these organizations must not enter and damage HIMLA.

This message was welcomed by all members present, confirming HIMLA as a healthy, objective and academic focused learning space.

Main Material: Arabic as a Future Opportunity

The speaker, Muhammad Iqbal, S.Hum., MA, a Jordanian alumnus, delivered inspiring material about the importance of mastering Arabic, both fusha and ‘amiyah. He explained that the two varieties of language complement each other:

Fusha: foundations of scholarship, text studies, academics, and the world of education.

‘Amiyah: the key to real communication in Arab countries, job opportunities and international relations.

He also emphasized that Arabic language skills open the door to various fields such as: Embassies & international relations, Interpreters/entertainers in Arab–Indonesia events, Companies that collaborate with Arab countries, Education, especially for graduates of religious universities, research institutions, translation, and media.

Real examples were also presented, for example in the recruitment of companies that have Arab–Indonesia relations, ‘amiyah's ability is often a quickly accepted value because it is directly relevant for field communication.

In the interview session, one of the HIMLA members named Dwi also shared his views.

mastering Arabic is not only about academics, but also career opportunities. We have to be fusha literate, but also amiyah literate, because Arabs wear amiyah every day. HIMLA really helped with all the ngasah, he said.

Kesan & Pesan Panitia: Menguatkan Rasa Keluarga

Safina, selaku panitia Liqo’ al-Mahabbah 2025, juga turut menyampaikan Kesan dan pesannya selepas acara liqoul mahabbah, Acara Liqo’ al-Mahabbah ini berhasil menumbuhkan rasa kekeluargaan di antara semua pihak, baik antarpanitia, panitia dengan anggota, maupun antaranggota. Melalui kepanitiaan ini, berbagai keterampilan leadership juga semakin terasah, terutama bagi dirinya,” ujarnya.

Ia juga menambahkan pesan untuk HIMLA: Semoga HIMLA lebih sukses ke depannya. Anggotanya makin kompak. Semua hal pasti bisa dicapai kalau kita kompak.

HIMLA, Rumah Tumbuhnya Identitas Bahasa Arab

Liqo’ al-Mahabbah 2025 bukan hanya pertemuan, tetapi sebuah perjalanan membangun identitas keilmuan mahasiswa. Melalui kegiatan ini, HIMLA kembali menegaskan dirinya sebagai: wadah berkarya, ruang bertumbuh akademik, komunitas yang menjaga kekeluargaan, sekaligus organisasi yang bebas dari intervensi politik kampus. Acara ditutup dengan tawa, kebersamaan, dan harapan besar bahwa HIMLA akan terus menjadi ruang tumbuh untuk generasi pecinta bahasa Arab dan semangat baru untuk membawa HIMLA menuju pencapaian yang lebih besar di masa mendatang.
