Jakarta, FAH News Online – Madrasah Tsanawiyah Library Development Jakarta collaborates with students of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library Science Study Program in holding fun discussion activities about books on Monday (8/12/2025). Activities were carried out offline at the Jakarta Development MTs Library. The aim of holding this activity is so that children, especially students of MTs Pembangunan Jakarta, are more used to reading and loving books, so it is necessary to hold interactive and fun activities.

The series of activities began with the opening by the MCs, namely Kak Chantika and Kak Nuril who are also admins of the Library's social media. The activity continued with introductions from each committee and participants. Even though the activity was only attended by 9 participants, the majority of whom were grade 8 students, the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the participants gave life to a pleasant atmosphere.

The book discussion session was divided into 2 sessions where participants told each session about their favorite books. Like the story brought by Cipa, one of the students who chose a teenage romance novel entitled Malioboro at Midnight which tells the love triangle story between Serana Nighita (Sera), her boyfriend Jan Ichard (vocalist of a famous band), and her neighbor who accidentally broke down the door of her apartment, Malioboro Hartigan (Malio), who offers emotional support when Sera feels lonely and sad about being left by her boyfriend. Or the story of the friendship of two young witches, the green-skinned Elphaba and the popular Glinda, in the Land of Oz in the film The Wicked which is adapted from the classic children's novel entitled The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) by L. Frank Baum

The excitement didn't stop there, the committee prepared a mini game in the form of Treasure Hunt which invited children to find and collect clues which led to the discovery of treasures (gifts). The participants' expressions of confusion and enthusiasm in looking for clues added to the excitement of the game.

The activity ended with a prize distribution session and the presentation of a certificate to the Jakarta Development MTs Library which was received directly by the Head of the Library, Mr. Ahmad Sandy Rizani, S.Pd. Don't forget to immortalize this moment of togetherness for the entire committee and participants to hold a group photo session.
