Happy to Meet Allah
South Tangerang, FAH News Online - The Mutiara Ramadhan Program (volume 2) organized by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to consistently provide spiritual provision for students and Muslims throughout the world. In the latest broadcast released on Tuesday (10/03/2026), Dr. Parhan Hidayat, M. Hum.
In his tausiyah, Dr. Parhan Hidayat raised the theme about “Happy to Meet Allah”. He explained a popular hadith regarding two happinesses for people who fast, namely happiness when breaking the fast and happiness when meeting their Lord. He emphasized that Muslims must start increasing their level of happiness from material to spiritual level.
He said there were several important points in achieving happiness in meeting Allah, especially in the month of Ramadan. What we can do first is increase faith, faith in Allah is happiness because of the comfort of reason where the concept of divinity in Islam is very compatible with human logic. The second is to be pleased with the Shari'a and destiny, it is important for Muslims to sincerely accept all religious Shari'a and be pleased with all the provisions or destiny that have been determined by Allah SWT. The third is to feel happy in worship, this is an implementation of gratitude for Allah's grace, where a person feels happy when praying, reading the Koran, giving alms, and carrying out other obligations. The last thing is to cleanse and decorate the heart, so that Allah will also be pleased and happy to meet us, we must cleanse the heart of sin and decorate it with pious deeds as a spiritual dish for Him.
In closing, Dr. Parhan Hidayat provides practical tips so that Muslims can maximize the blessings of Ramadan through two main steps. First, don't just focus on happiness when breaking the fast which is material or food, but aim for the intention to achieve higher happiness. Second, make sure we are worthy of being met by Allah by keeping our hearts clean and increasing the deeds that He approves so that Allah will be happy to meet us at the end of the world.
It is hoped that this study can motivate the academic community and the wider community to make Ramadan a momentum to rise to the level of worship and achieve the pleasure of Allah SWT.
