South Tangerang, FAH News Online – On Wednesday, July 9 2025, the Master of Islamic History and Culture (MSKI) Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a series of academic exams, starting from the Work in Progress exam, Comprehensive exam, Introduction, to Thesis exam. This exam was attended by female students, including Dirga Fawakih, Anifa Nurhayati, Farida Novita Rahmah, and Gita Safitri.

Among the students who took the thesis exam today, there is one of the students from the class of 2023 who successfully passed on time, namely Gita Safitri. He completed his Master's program studies in two years and successfully defended his thesis entitled “Chinese Derma Practices and Islamic Organizations: Conflict, Negotiation and Collaboration on the Island of Java in 1900–1940.” The Gita thesis exam took place in front of examiners, namely Prof. Dr. Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim, MA, and Prof. Jajang Jahroni, MA, Ph.D. The thesis was supervised by Prof. Amelia Fauzia, MA, Ph.D who is an expert in the fields of history and philanthropy.

Thanks to his persistence, Gita managed to complete her studies on time. In the midst of his busy work and other social activities, he was able to prove that working students can still graduate within two years. According to the Gita, consistency is key. He took advantage of breaks between jobs to write theses regularly, in an unyielding spirit. Apart from that, Gita also actively consults with supervisors and participates in every guidance session in a disciplined manner.

This success is also inseparable from the support of the Master of Islamic History and Culture (MSKI) Study Program which actively encourages students to graduate on time. The MSKI study program provides constructive direction, guidance and input, and provides consultation facilities open to students. The study program's commitment to accompanying students' academic processes is an important factor in achieving graduation on time, as exemplified by Gita today.
