South Tangerang, FAH News Online - On Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Raudhatul Athfal. A total of 21 students attended a seminar entitled "AI for Children: Getting to Know Future Technology." This activity took place from 09.30 to 11.30 WIB and was accompanied by Mrs. Lina as a companion teacher.

This seminar was organized by students of the Library Science Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in order to fulfill the Final Semester Examination (UAS) of the Library Management course with the lecturer Mrs. Fahma Rianti, M.Hum. This activity is a form of student contribution in spreading digital literacy early on to madrasah children.

The purpose of this program is to introduce the basic concepts of artificial intelligence (AI) in a fun and easy-to-understand way. In addition, this activity also aims to foster students' curiosity about technology, and increase their readiness to face the challenges of the digital world in the future.

The event began with an opening by the MC, Vinna, who welcomed the participants and guided the event in an orderly manner. Then remarks from the Chief Executive, Bayu, who conveyed the importance of recognizing AI early on and how this technology should be used wisely.

The material session was delivered by Bayu and Afif with a light and easy-to-understand explanation. The children were very enthusiastic and actively asked questions, making the atmosphere lively and fun.  Both delivered interactive explanations about AI, starting from simple examples such as virtual assistants, AI technology on cellphones.

Not only that, to break the ice, there was also ice breaking guided by Nuril and Alfi. The children seemed more excited and enjoyed the game. Ice breaking was done with two fun and interesting games, so the atmosphere of the classroom became more cheerful.

As a form of appreciation, at the end of the event the committee gave prizes to students who actively asked and answered during the activity. This was a special encouragement for the participants who were actively involved in the seminar.

"Thank you to UIN Jakarta students for their participation in seminar activities for MI Raudhatul Athfal students. Hopefully the knowledge conveyed is useful for madrasah children," she said.

This seminar activity was closed with a documentation and photo session between the committee, participants, and Mrs. Lina as a companion. As a form of appreciation and gratitude, the committee also handed over gifts to the school. It is hoped that through this activity, children can be more familiar and aware of the importance of technology in their lives, of course in a positive and responsible way.
