FAH UIN Jakarta Welcomes the Visit of UIN Lhokseumawe Sultanah Nahrasiyah
South Tangerang, FAH News Online - The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received an official visit from the State Islamic University (UIN) Lhokseumawe Sultanah Nahrasiyah which is an important momentum in strengthening institutional relations between state Islamic universities in Indonesia, especially in the fields of education, research and human resource development. The acceptance event took place in the Dean's Meeting Room, Faculty of Adab and Humanities Building, on Wednesday (22/20/2025) and was very warm.
This visit was UIN Sultanah Nahrasiyah Lhokseumawe's first visit to the Faculty of Adab and Humanities in order to study good practices (best practices) in faculty management, in the fields of research from research, student affairs, curriculum, to developing educational staff (tendik) as well as exploring the potential for strategic cooperation.
The UIN Lhokseumawe group was led directly by the Dean of the Ushuludin Faculty, Adab and Da'wah Dr. Ruhama Wazna, S.Th.I., MA and the ranks of Deputy Dean II Nurul Hikmah, M.Pd were welcomed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag, SS, M.Hum and accompanied by Dr. Ida Farida, M.LIS, (Deputy Dean I), Dr. Siti Amsariah, M.Ag, (Deputy Dean II), Iwan Kurniawa, S.Pd., M.Si (Head of Administration) and teaching staff.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FAH UIN Jakarta expressed his appreciation for UIN Lhokseumawe's visit and emphasized the importance of academic networking between Islamic universities. “Cross-college collaboration is the key to improving the quality of the tridharma of higher education, especially in strengthening educational research and innovation,” said Dr. Ade.
Meanwhile, UIN Dean Lhokseumawe Sultanah Nahrasiyah expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed the purpose of the visit. “We want to learn and share experiences, especially in managing academic and non-academic activities that have gone well at UIN Jakarta,” he said.
The atmosphere of the meeting was warm and full of familiarity, reflecting the good relations between the two parties. Thereafter, activities continued with interactive discussions addressing various aspects of collaboration and joint development.
In the field of research, the two parties shared experiences with each other about strategies for improving scientific publications, research funding systems, and cross-university cooperation. UIN Jakarta also explained faculty support and incentives for lecturers who actively write in scientific journals.
In the field of student affairs, the discussion focuses on developing students' character and soft skills. UIN Lhokseumawe expressed interest in the mentoring system and various self-development activities implemented at FAH UIN Jakarta.
For the lecture sector, the discussion highlighted the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum and project-based learning innovations. FAH UIN Jakarta exemplifies collaboration between lecturers and students in creating digital teaching materials as a creative and relevant form of modern learning.
Meanwhile, in discussing educational staff (tendik), UIN Lhokseumawe appreciated the continuing training system implemented at FAH UIN Jakarta. Through internal training and collaboration with various institutions, UIN Jakarta continues to strive to improve professionalism and more efficient academic administration services.
In conclusion, both parties agreed to follow up the results of this meeting with more concrete cooperation in the future. Some of the forms of collaboration envisaged include exchanges of lecturers and students, joint training and collaborative research.
The event ended with a group photo and the handover of souvenirs as a symbol of friendship and the spirit of collaboration between universities. All participants hope that this visit will be a good start for ongoing cooperation to advance Islamic higher education in Indonesia.
