FAH UIN Jakarta Strengthens the PTKIN Library and Information Science Network through the 2026 International Conference on STMeT and RTIS

Bali, FAH Online News – The Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, participated in the “7th International Conference on Science and Technology Metrics (STMeT) 2026” and the “8th International Conference on Real-Time Intelligent Systems (RTIS) 2026”, held in Bali on October 3, 2026. The international conference carried the theme “Advancing Science and Technology Metrics Through AI-Driven Information Ecosystems,” highlighting developments in science and technology measurement within artificial intelligence (AI)-based information ecosystems.

FAH UIN Jakarta was represented at the event by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., the Head of the Library and Information Science Study Program, Siti Maryam, S.Ag., M.Hum., and several lecturers from the Library and Information Science Study Program. This participation was part of FAH's efforts to strengthen academic networks and international collaboration in the field of library and information science.

The event also brought together 19 Library and Information Science Study Programs from State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) across Indonesia. The meeting served as a strategic platform for study program leaders and academics to strengthen communication, exchange experiences, and establish collaborations in the areas of education, research, scholarly publication, and professional development in library and information science.

In addition to the international conference agenda, the event also featured the signing of ASDI PTKI across Indonesia. The signing represented an important step toward strengthening synergy and networks among Library and Information Science Study Programs within PTKI, while also opening opportunities for cooperation in various academic fields. The collaboration is expected to encourage stronger inter-university partnerships in areas including education and learning, research, scholarly publication, curriculum development, community engagement, and the enhancement of student and lecturer competencies.

FAH UIN Jakarta's participation in the forum, which brought together 19 Library and Information Science Study Programs from PTKIN across Indonesia, also provided an opportunity to strengthen the position of its Library and Information Science Study Program within Indonesia's higher education network in the field of library and information science.

Amid the rapid development of digital technology and the growing use of artificial intelligence, the forum also served as an important platform for library and information science academics to respond to changes in the information ecosystem. Competency development, research, and cross-institutional collaboration are essential to ensuring that library and information science remains relevant to societal needs and technological developments.

Through its participation in STMeT and RTIS 2026, the signing of ASDI PTKI across Indonesia, as well as the international award received by the Dean of FAH, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening academic excellence, research, collaboration, and the internationalization of the Library and Information Science Study Program.
