FAH UIN Jakarta Receives Best Practice Visit from the Arabic Language and Literature Program of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang

FAH Building, FAH Online News – The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed an academic visit as part of a best practice program from the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The activity took place within the FAH UIN Jakarta environment and aimed to strengthen the quality of study program management while fostering inter-university collaboration.

The visit was attended by a delegation from the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program of UIN Malik Ibrahim Malang, who were warmly received by the leadership and academic community of FAH UIN Jakarta. The event began with an opening session by the committee, delivering a welcome address and expressing hopes that the activity would provide mutual benefits for both institutions.

In his remarks, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Jakarta, expressed appreciation for the academic visit. He emphasized the importance of benchmarking and sharing best practices as efforts to improve the quality of higher education. He also highlighted FAH UIN Jakarta’s commitment to developing knowledge that integrates Islamic values with modern science.

“Collaboration among institutions is key to addressing global challenges in education. We hope this visit marks the beginning of sustainable cooperation in education, research, and community service,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr. Miftahur Rokhim, M.A., Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program at FAH UIN Jakarta, also delivered remarks and presented the profile of the study program. He explained key aspects such as the curriculum, learning outcomes, and flagship programs that have been implemented.

He further highlighted innovative learning approaches, including the integration of technology in Arabic language instruction. According to him, the exchange of ideas and experiences among institutions is essential to improving graduate quality. He also invited both institutions to collaborate through joint seminars, collaborative research, and student exchange programs.

On the same occasion, Dr. Abdul Basid, S.S., M.Pd., Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, emphasized the importance of strengthening adaptive curricula in response to global challenges and labor market demands. He also underlined the need to integrate Arabic language proficiency with digital literacy and research competencies among students. Furthermore, he noted that inter-university collaboration is a strategic approach to accelerating academic quality improvement through experience sharing, joint curriculum development, and research and publication partnerships.

This best practice activity focused on study program management systems, curriculum development, and learning strategies. It also addressed various challenges faced in developing Arabic Language and Literature programs along with applicable solutions. Experiences related to accreditation processes and quality assurance were also key discussion points.

Various strategic topics were explored, ranging from curriculum implementation to the digitalization of learning and strengthening student competencies in the modern era.

The event concluded with expectations for concrete follow-up actions from both institutions. The outcomes of this visit reflect strong academic communication and the acquisition of valuable insights into more effective study program management.

As a follow-up, both parties recommended strengthening cooperation through the signing of MoU/MoA, organizing joint academic activities, and developing collaborative programs based on research and scientific publications. This visit is expected to serve as an initial step toward building sustainable synergy to enhance the quality of higher education, particularly in the field of Arabic Language and Literature.
