Cirebon, FAH Online News — The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta achieved a series of notable accomplishments at the 2026 International Seminar and International Competition organized by the Forum of Lecturers of Adab and Humanities in Indonesia (ADIA), held in Cirebon from July 22 to 25, 2026. This international academic forum served as a strategic platform for academics, researchers, and students to strengthen collaboration, exchange ideas, and advance the study of adab and the humanities in the digital era.

The delegation from FAH UIN Jakarta was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., together with the Vice Deans, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, and lecturers representing various departments within the faculty. The participation of the faculty’s leadership and academic community reflected FAH’s commitment to strengthening its academic culture, improving the quality of the three pillars of higher education, and expanding collaborative networks at both national and international levels.

Under the theme “Revitalizing Adab and Humanities in the Cyber Era for Strengthening the World’s Civilized Nations,” ADIA 2026 featured a wide range of academic activities, including an international seminar, research presentations, academic discussions, and competitions involving participants from various higher education institutions. The forum provided a collaborative space for academics to share experiences, discuss strategic issues, and formulate innovative ideas for advancing adab and humanities studies amid rapid digital transformation.

FAH UIN Jakarta’s participation in ADIA 2026 was marked not only by its active involvement in the academic forum but also by several distinguished achievements. During the event, the Dean of FAH, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., received the Visionary Dean Award in recognition of his visionary leadership and dedication to advancing education, research, innovation, and academic collaboration in the fields of adab and the humanities.

Another achievement was attained by Amira Asholina Al Madinah, a student of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program with Student Identification Number 1251130023, who won the title of Second Runner-Up in the Dubbing Contest. This accomplishment demonstrates that students of FAH UIN Jakarta possess not only strong academic competence but also creativity, language proficiency, and the ability to compete at the national level.

ADIA 2026 also brought encouraging news for the Islamic Civilization History Study Program. During the Fourth National Congress of the Association of Islamic History Study Programs throughout Indonesia (APSII), which was held as part of the ADIA 2026 program, the Head of the Islamic Civilization History Study Program, Dr. Zakiya Darojat, M.Hum., was officially inaugurated as Chairperson of APSII for the 2026–2028 term.

The appointment reflects the trust placed by APSII members in the academic capacity and leadership of FAH UIN Jakarta in advancing the education and scholarly development of Islamic civilization history in Indonesia.

The Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., stated that participation in ADIA 2026 formed part of the faculty’s commitment to continuously strengthening its academic culture, improving the quality of reputable scholarly publications, and expanding collaborative networks with higher education institutions and academic organizations both within Indonesia and abroad.

According to him, international forums such as ADIA provide a strategic platform for implementing the three pillars of higher education by strengthening education, research, and community service. In addition to serving as a forum for disseminating research findings, the event also creates opportunities for research collaboration, joint scholarly publications, academic exchanges, and the development of innovative programs that make tangible contributions to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in the fields of adab and the humanities.

The various accomplishments achieved by FAH UIN Jakarta throughout ADIA 2026 were the result of collaboration among all members of the academic community in developing a faculty that is excellent, adaptive, and globally competitive. The award received by the faculty leadership, the student’s achievement, and the leadership mandate entrusted through a national professional organization provide further motivation to continuously improve the quality of the three pillars of higher education while strengthening FAH UIN Jakarta’s position as a center for the development of adab and humanities studies.

Through its active participation in the 2026 Forum of Lecturers of Adab and Humanities in Indonesia (ADIA), the Faculty of Adab and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hopes to continue expanding its academic cooperation networks, strengthening research collaboration and international publications, and enhancing its contribution to the advancement of adab and humanities scholarship.
