FAH UIN Jakarta Maintains the Highest Achievement of Tracer Study in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta

South Tangerang, FAH Online News – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has made another proud achievement. In the January– July 2025 period, FAH succeeded in recording a Tracer Study completion rate of 77%, the highest figure in the UIN Jakarta environment.

Previously, this achievement was announced to be at 89%. However, after a double check, it was found that the number of legal respondents was recorded as 674 out of a total of 896 graduates. However, in the last five days this achievement has increased again to 77%, and still places FAH as the faculty with the most respondents at UIN Jakarta.

Strategic Collaboration

In an interview conducted on Wednesday, 08/20/2025, Deputy Dean III for Students, Alumni and Cooperation, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., MA. (Leiden), M.A. (Duke), Ph.D. (Monash), conveyed a sense of relief and happiness at this achievement.

“This achievement is the result of initiatives and plans that I prepared a year and a half ago. "I want Tracer Study FAH to be equal to and even exceed the standards of a large university like Pancasila University," he said.

Efforts to increase this started with holding a workshop with Ir. Petiana Indriati, MM, Head of the Center for Career Development and Student Welfare Services (PPKLKM) Pancasila University. From this forum, Prof. Usep and his team formulated 25 points of recommendations for reform of the Tracer Study system which were then adopted by all Deputy Dean III throughout UIN Jakarta.

FAH is an example

One important point is to encourage the Information Services System (SPI) to open access to fill out the Tracer Study as soon as students are declared to have graduated, not wait six months post-graduation. “Psychologically, alumni will be more difficult to reach after six months. So it must be taken advantage of during graduation momentum,” explained Prof. Usep.

Based on collaboration with the Head of the UIN Jakarta Career Center, Muhammad Kholis Hamdy, FAH also implemented two survey models: the Tracer Study and the graduate user satisfaction survey. This step makes FAH the only faculty at UIN Jakarta that uses a dual approach.

“Previously it also reached 51%, but this time 77% is the fruit of the synergy of ideas and technical implementation that we are constantly building,” added Prof. Usep.

Accreditation and Hope for the Future

Furthermore, Prof. Usep emphasized that the Tracer Study is not just administration, but a vital element in BAN-PT accreditation. “The highest scores come from the elements of alumni, job absorption and study sustainability. "So the Faculty of Adab must play an active role in bridging students to the world of work," he stressed.

He also proposed the creation of an Alumni Corner and Inspirational Alumni Podcast, which could present alumni with specific skills, strategic positions, or high salaries as a source of inspiration for active students.

Closing the interview, Prof. Usep advised alumni to become sponsors and pave the way for their younger siblings, as well as encouraging students not to hesitate to build businesses, develop themselves and become ambassadors for the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.

“With this spirit, we want not only to produce graduates, but to build a strong and mutually supportive ecosystem for the progress of FAH,” he concluded.
