FAH UIN Jakarta Holds Student Supplies for KKN In Campus Program

south Angerang, FAH News Online - Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is holding a debriefing and interview activity for students participating in KKN In Campus who will carry out their duties within FAH, Thursday 01/22/2026 in the Main Courtroom, 2nd Floor FAH.

This provision aims to provide students with an initial understanding of duties, responsibilities and work ethics. This year, “KKN In Campus” FAH was attended by six students from various faculties within UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, namely the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH), and the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH). Participants will later be placed in work units that require it, in accordance with the competencies and needs of the faculty.

The implementation of “KKN In Campus” this year has differences compared to previous years. If in general KKN In Campus is carried out for three months, then this year the assignment period is extended to six months, so it is hoped that students will have more optimal time to adapt, contribute and have a real impact on the work unit where they work.

The debriefing activity was attended by the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation, FAH, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, MA, MA, Ph.D., who was accompanied by Secretary of the Deanery of Sukasih Nur, S.Sos., MIKom as well as educational (tendik) staff in the academic field.

In his speech, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin said that KKN In Campus is part of the Community Service Program (PPM) which is designed to apply students' knowledge and skills to the real world of work, especially in higher education environments.

“KKN In Campus is not just a formality. Students must carry it out with full sincerity and responsibility. It should not be half-hearted, because this program is a means of direct learning about work ethic, discipline and professionalism,” he stressed.

Prof. Usep emphasized that the value of sincerity and high ideals is in line with Islamic teachings. This is as the words of Rasulullah SAW.

“Indeed, Allah loves noble things and hates lowly things.”
(HR. al-Baihaqi in Syu'ab al-Īmān)

According to him, the hadith contains the message that Allah likes affairs that are carried out with seriousness, high ideals and full commitment, and does not like the attitude of working carelessly or half-heartedly. Therefore, KKN In Campus students are expected to be able to utilize this program optimally as a valuable means of learning and service.

Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of an adaptive attitude, good communication, and the ability to collaborate with the academic community and educational staff while undergoing KKN In Campus. According to him, it is hoped that this experience can become valuable provisions for students before entering the real world of work.

On the same occasion, Sukasih Nur, S.Sos.I., MIKom., as Secretary of the FAH Deanery, also conveyed the importance of solid teamwork in carrying out the duties of KKN In Campus. He emphasized that good collaboration between team members is the main key to achieving optimal work results.

The debriefing activity was followed by an interview session aimed at exploring the motivation, readiness and competence of each participant.

Through this series of briefings and interviews, FAH affirms its commitment to equipping students with real, valuable work experience. KKN In Campus is expected to not only be a means of service, but also a learning space that is able to form a professional character, toughness and integrity for students as prospective graduates who are ready to work.
