FAH UIN Jakarta Holds OBS Basic Engineering Workshop to Improve Digital Literacy
East Ciputat, FAH News Online - Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has again shown its commitment to facing the digital era by holding the OBS Basic Engineering Workshop on Thursday, January 16 2025 in the main courtroom on the 2nd floor. This activity was organized by the FAH Media Division, known as Creatifah, one of the LOs within FAH. This event was attended by Education Personnel (Tendik), the LO Creatifah Team, as well as student street vendor participants from Yapia Parung Vocational School, Bogor.
This one-day workshop aims to provide understanding and practical skills in the media sector, especially regarding the use of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). OBS is software used to record and conduct live broadcasts, which is currently very relevant in supporting various digital activities, such as webinars, podcasts and multimedia content production.
As a resource person, media activist Mr. Hendra, ST, M.Pd was present, who is also the PIC of the FAH Social Media Team. Resource persons provided detailed explanations as well as guided participants in understanding the fundamentals of OBS, from feature introduction to operating practices. The material presented includes:

3.Basic Elements of OBS
4.Hardware for Streaming
5.Camera Connection to OBS
6.Using OBS for Live Streaming
Participants were seen enthusiastically participating in each session, which consisted of presenting material, discussing it, and doing hands-on exercises using OBS software.
Mr. Hendra also said that this activity was part of an ongoing program in an effort to increase digital literacy among Tendik and students. “This workshop will be held periodically with materials tailored to your needs. "We hope this can be a concrete step for the Faculty of Adab and Humanities in supporting digital transformation," he said.
This activity is also a form of development of FAH digital media to create information that is always updated, informative and relevant to current developments. Apart from that, this training provides special knowledge for educational staff at FAH to be more applicable at work. In this way, FAH plays a role in supporting the development of digital competencies for students, educational staff and students outside the university.
In conclusion, all participants expressed appreciation for the implementation of this workshop. They hope that similar activities can continue to be carried out to deepen digital skills that are really needed in this technological era.
