FAH Building, FAH News Online – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially started a series of Khotmil Qur'an activities on Wednesday, 19/02/2026, on the 2nd floor of the FAH Building. This activity will take place continuously throughout the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H as part of the faculty's commitment to strengthening spiritual values and building Qur'anic culture in the academic environment.
The opening atmosphere was solemn and full of solemnity. This activity was attended directly by the Dean of FAH Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., SS, M.Hum along with the deputy deans, the Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi), the Secretary of Study Programs (Sekprodi), as well as educational staff (tendik) within FAH. All participants sat together and read the Koran simultaneously, creating a warm and religious atmosphere of togetherness.
In his speech, the Dean of FAH emphasized that the Khotmil Qur'an activity is not just a ceremonial agenda for Ramadan, but is part of an institutional effort to present a more meaningful atmosphere of Ramadan amidst the dynamics of academic and administrative activities.
According to him, Ramadan must be a momentum for reflection and spiritual strengthening, both personally and collectively as part of the academic community.
“We intend this activity as an effort to accompany Ramadan with the Koran, bringing blessings to every step and activity we take at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities,” he said.
The Qur'an Khotmil program is designed using a participatory system, where all FAH academics are together during the month of Ramadan until the joint khatam target is achieved. With this concept of togetherness, activities are expected to be able to foster collective enthusiasm and strengthen spiritual interactions between leadership elements, lecturers and educational staff.
More than just a worship activity, this activity is also a space for friendship and strengthening internal faculty solidarity. Togetherness in reading the Koran is a symbol of FAH's commitment to aligning academic excellence with the depth of spirituality.
Through holding the Khotmil Qur'an Ramadhan 1447 H, FAH UIN Jakarta hopes that the holy month of Ramadhan will become a momentum for self-transformation and institutions— strengthening integrity, increasing example, and strengthening dedication in service to religion, nation and humanity. (SN)
