FAH Online News, Jakarta, 27 November 2025 — Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta is holding an International Guest Lecture activity with the theme “Linguistics and New Trends.” This event was held on Thursday, November 27 2025, and was attended by lecturers and students from the Tarjamah study program for semester 3 classes A and B in the Introduction to Arabic Linguistics course.

In this activity, an international guest resource person was present, namely Associate Professor Dr. Nurkhamimi Zainuddin from USIM, Malaysia, who presented material related to the latest developments in linguistic studies and the direction of contemporary research in this field. Its presence provides global insight as well as enriches participants' academic perspectives on language research trends in the modern era. This event was also attended by two Arab linguistim experts and also lecturers who taught the Introduction to Arabic Linguistics course at UIN Jakarta, namely Dr. Mauidlotun Nisa', M.Hum. and Dr. Ahmad Royani, M.Hum., who also provided an introduction and strengthened the context of Arabic linguistics in the local and international realm.

The holding of this guest lecture is a form of FAH UIN Jakarta's commitment to presenting international scale academic forums to improve the quality of research and learning, as well as open up opportunities for collaboration with foreign educational institutions. With this activity, it is hoped that students and lecturers will be increasingly encouraged to develop linguistic studies that are relevant to the needs of the times and contribute to the development of linguistics at the global level.
