FAH UIN Jakarta Achieves Highest Tracer Study Completion Rate at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta
Tangerang Selatan, FAH Online News – The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has achieved a remarkable milestone by recording the highest Tracer Study completion rate among all faculties within UIN Jakarta. This achievement was announced during the Tracer Study Socialization and Results Presentation held on Thursday, 14/08/2025, at the 2nd Floor Dean’s Meeting Room, FAH Building. The event was officially opened by the Head of Administrative Affairs at FAH, Iwan Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Si., and attended by the faculty leadership, including the Dean of FAH, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., SS, M.Hum., CIQnR; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A. (Leiden), M.A. (Duke), Ph.D. (Monash); and the Head of the UIN Jakarta Career Center, Muhammad Kholis Hamdy, S.Sos.I., MInt.Dev.
Also present from the UIN Jakarta Career Center (Puskar) were staff members Aditya Wardhana and Mustakim, along with internship students Marsha Eriana Chalidi, Nova Tri Hapsari, Rahma Khalida, Ghaitsa Rahman Karim, Muhammad Rafly Akbar, Fachry Indrawan, Melisa Febriani, Dea Maulidiya Azzahra, and Muhammad Nazwa Haikal. The event was also attended by the Heads of Study Programs within FAH and two educational staff members.
In his remarks, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak emphasized the importance of the Tracer Study as a means of evaluating alumni absorption into the workforce, as well as serving as strategic feedback for improving the quality of the faculty and its study programs. He noted that Tracer Study completion must be carried out with the right strategy to ensure accurate and useful data.
Prof. Usep Abdul Matin expressed his pride in this achievement and highlighted the importance of maintaining an emotional connection between alumni and FAH as a driving factor for success. He also stressed that the process of completing the Tracer Study and the graduate user satisfaction survey at FAH was conducted under his leadership as Vice Dean III, with regular consultation with the Dean of FAH and the Head of the Career Center. This collaboration resulted in an outstanding completion rate of 89%, the highest among all faculties at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
The data presentation session, delivered by the UIN Jakarta Career Center team, revealed that a total of 792 alumni from 896 graduates of cohorts 131 to 134 completed the Tracer Study. The majority of respondents were female (69.1%). Respondents were spread across various regions, with the largest numbers coming from West Java (250), Banten (239), and DKI Jakarta (226). The distribution of respondents by study program at FAH was as follows:
Arabic Language and Literature (258), Library and Information Science (177), English Literature (127), Translation Studies (105), History and Civilization of Islam (103), MSKI (13), and MBSA (9).
In terms of study duration, most alumni graduated within 7 to 8 semesters. Meanwhile, 51.5% of respondents were already employed, with 68.3% of them starting to seek jobs before graduation. The year 2024 saw the highest number of alumni entering the workforce, with the majority working in local companies and earning below the regional minimum wage (UMR).
Regarding job relevance, most alumni stated that their current jobs were closely related to their fields of study. Additionally, 63 alumni continued their studies to the master’s level in various programs. The alumni competency assessment results also showed high scores, with 4.64 for communication skills and 4.70 for job readiness.
The event also discussed the role of the Prima Magang Program as a pathway to enhance student skills, although several institutions have yet to be integrated into the program. The discussion was warm, participatory, and filled with commitment from all stakeholders involved. It is hoped that this achievement will serve as a stepping stone to further strengthen the FAH alumni network and enhance the quality of graduates in the future.
