FAH UIN Jakarta Academic Community Also Attends Ceremony Commemoration of the 79th Indonesian Ministry of Religion Bhakti Charity Day
Ciputat, 03 January 2025 – Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta held a ceremony commemorating the 79th Bhakti Charity Day of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI) at the Student Center Field on Friday (03/01/2025). The ceremony by the UIN Jakarta Academic Community, the Director of Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital Jakarta, the Director of Haji Hospital Jakarta, as well as the Chair and Management of Dharma Wanita Unity took place solemnly.
Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA, Ph.D., chancellor of UIN Jakarta acted as inspector of ceremonies commemorating the 79th Indonesian Ministry of Religion Bhakti Charity Day. The series of ceremonies began with the raising of the Red and White flag by students from the Paskibraka UIN Jakarta Student Activity Unit (UKM), the reading of Pancasila by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Yunita Failanisa, M.Psi., observed a moment of silence led by the Ceremony Inspector, as well as a reading of the text of the 1945 Constitution by the Dean of the Dirasat Islamiyah Faculty, Dr. Yuli Yasin, MA. The ceremony then continued with the delivery of a mandate from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion which was delivered directly by the Chancellor of UIN Jakarta, then the delivery of a speech by the ceremony inspector.
Prof. Asep as the ceremony inspector, in his speech conveyed the mandate entrusted by the Ministry of Religion, namely regarding reflections on the historical importance of the formation of the Ministry of Religion, the role of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion in a country with a Pancasila ideology, the crucial task of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, and in closing, Prof. Asep conveyed the importance of maintaining religious harmony in Indonesia to prevent a global crisis. “We need to voice our moral role in various forums and information channels to maintain religious harmony in our country which has so many different religious backgrounds. The ceremony closed with a prayer led by Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Jakarta, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., MA, who prays that the spirit of Charity Day will further strengthen the unity and harmony of religious communities in Indonesia.
The ceremony commemorating the 79th Bhakti Charity Day left a deep impression on the ceremony participants, including the Academic Community of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH).Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., SS, M.Hum, Dean of FAH, said that this year's Indonesian Ministry of Religion Bhakti Charity Day ceremony was very inspiring and full of meaning. “The Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Bhakti Charity Day ceremony is a very important momentum to reflect the contribution of the Ministry of Religion in strengthening religious, national and humanitarian values in Indonesia. Its implementation reflects a spirit of togetherness and a commitment to continue serving the community with integrity and professionalism. Apart from being a means of strengthening ties between elements of the nation, this ceremony also inspires all participants to further strengthen religious moderation as the foundation of social harmony amidst diversity,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mauidlotun Nisa, M.Hum, FAH lecturer, added that this ceremony was a momentum to invite and measure how much active role has been played in building the nation with noble religious values. “The commemoration of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Charity Day is a reminder of the importance of diversity, tolerance and unity and motivates us to perform with our hearts, work selflessly and work without limits, to achieve prosperity of heart and soul,” he said.
