FAH of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Socializes the 2026 Student Mobility Program to Strengthen International Academic Experience.
FAH Online News – The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held a socialization event for the International Student Mobility (ISM) FAH 2026 titled “The Real International Recognition” on Saturday (27/06/2026) conducted online via Zoom Meeting.
The event featured opening remarks from Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., CIQnR and Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A., M.A., Ph.D., with Hikmah Irfaniah, M.Hum., and Dr. Maulidatun Nisa, M.Hum., serving as speakers, and Muhammad Abror, M.A., as moderator.
In his remarks, the Dean of FAH stated that the Faculty of Adab and Humanities continues to introduce innovations in the implementation of student mobility programs that provide different academic experiences compared to similar programs in other faculties.
In general, student mobility programs focus on academic visits to foreign universities to gain direct insights from host institutions. Previously, similar programs were also conducted at the university level in a centralized format, emphasizing academic visits and presentations from partner universities.
However, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities offers a more comprehensive and value-added approach. In addition to academic visits, students are also involved in presenting at international conferences held at partner universities in the United Kingdom of Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia.
This program not only provides opportunities for students to broaden their academic perspectives from various international universities but also serves as a platform for international recognition. Through participation in these conferences, students are expected to demonstrate their academic contributions on a global stage and showcase the intellectual capacity of Indonesian students internationally.
The faculty emphasized that this program also aims to enhance students’ confidence in engaging at the global level. It is hoped that this experience will not be limited to Malaysia but will become a stepping stone for participation in other countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond in the future.
“This program is not merely an academic journey, but a real practice that provides authentic international experience. Students will meet participants from various countries such as Malaysia and Brunei, thereby expanding their global academic networks,” as stated in the remarks.
The socialization session served as an introduction for FAH students regarding international mobility opportunities that support academic development abroad. Through this program, students are encouraged to broaden their insights, build international networks, and enhance their academic quality.
It was also explained that the Student Mobility Program can be part of a strategy for student capacity development at various educational levels. Undergraduate students may receive financial assistance to support participation, while master’s and doctoral students are encouraged to develop academic strategies through collaboration and expanded networks with lecturers and partner institutions.
The discussion also highlighted funding aspects and application mechanisms. Students participating through self-funding schemes can still benefit academically from the international experience. Institutional funding opportunities, however, follow specific requirements and procedures, including application processes and acknowledgment of involved parties.
FAH UIN Jakarta also encourages students to prepare administrative requirements early, including data coordination and document readiness with relevant parties. Experiences from other universities show the importance of proper planning to ensure smooth participation in mobility programs.
Through this socialization, students gained a clear understanding of the process, requirements, and benefits of the Student Mobility Program. The event is expected to encourage FAH academics to actively seize international academic opportunities as part of strengthening global competencies and experiences.
