Faculty of Adab and Humanities Students Win 1st Place in the International Syarhil Competition, Make HIMLA Named

Jakarta, FAH News Online — Ruby, student at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities and Coordinator of the Halaqah Ilmiyyah Interest and Talent Bureau li Muhibbi al-lughoh al-`arabiyah (HIMLA), has made another proud achievement. He won 1st place in the International Syarhil Qur'an Competition, a brilliant achievement that helped make HIMLA and the campus proud on the global stage.

The international competition he participated in was tight and full of challenges. Ruby competes with participants from various countries, presenting syarhil with strong articulation, mastery of deep material, and touching soul. This performance succeeded in amazing the jury and placing him as the highest winner.

In the interview, Ruby expressed her emotion and unexpectedness in getting first place. “Of course I'm very happy, because previously I didn't really expect to win 1st place. "At first I wasn't even confident about entering the final, but thank God I finally got it," he said.

Ruby also said that preparations for this international event were not easy. Challenges ranging from setting inter-faculty schedules, evening exercises, to technical travel needs are part of the long process. “We have different faculties and have our own activities. So the practice is often evening, from 9 to 11 on campus. "Continue to have problems with tickets, places to stay, lots of technical things to think about," he explained.

Even so, this process actually strengthened his determination. Ruby said that her biggest motivation was to overcome fear from within herself. “I was doubtful and unsure at first, but I really wanted to fight that fear. And it turns out I can, when there is effort and will,” he said.

Apart from competition, Ruby also gained memorable social and spiritual experiences. “The most impressive thing is meeting new people. After the event, we were invited to Sunan Ampel's grave and toured Surabaya with IKHMA friends. Welcomed, it feels really warm,” he said.

Ruby also expressed great appreciation to HIMLA for the moral support provided before and during the race. “HIMLA friends responded really positively when I said I wanted to compete. They support and pray. Mrs. Ucah as the coach also gave a good response and that added to my motivation. And when I won, I felt celebrated by all HIMLA,” he said with emotion.

“Love you HIMLA,” he added.

The entire HIMLA family expressed their pride in Ruby's achievements. In an official statement, HIMLA said that this victory was not just a personal achievement, but the pride of the entire HIMLA family. “Ruby's achievements are an inspiration for other members to dare to compete and develop their best potential,” wrote a HIMLA representative.

Message for FAH Students and the Young Generation

In closing, Ruby gave a message to other students who want to excel:

“We all can. We're all cool with our own ways. Never measure success from other people, because we have different processes.

Ruby's achievements not only confirm her quality in the field of sharhil, but are also proof that students at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities are able to compete and shine at the international level. Hopefully this victory will be the first step towards more achievements in the future.
