Different Viewpoints on the Debate Pulpit: HMPS SPI Candidate Candidate Debates the Essence of Vision and Mission in the FAH UIN Jakarta Election

Ciputat, UIN News Online - The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah held a candidate debate held for the largest annual political party at the campus level, namely the General Election (Pemira). This candidate debate was held at the Al-Insaniyaat Mosque, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Wednesday, December 17 2025.

The General Election (PEMIRA) is a means for all students to channel their voting rights in electing leaders of student organizations, starting from the Executive level, namely chairman and deputy chairman of the Student Executive Council (DEMA), Study Program Student Association (HMPS) and the Legislative level, namely the Student Senate (SEMA) at the University, Faculty and Study Program levels.

The Islamic History and Civilization Study Program has two pairs of candidates (Paslon). Candidate pairs number 01 are Thoriq Aziz Dawaisla and Muhammad Irfan Fadillah, while candidate pairs number 02 are Ahmad Sultan Aquilla and Fauzan Abdul Fatah.

In this activity, each candidate pair had a different view. Candidate candidate number 01 believes that the candidate's debate activities are fun because each candidate has different ideas, ideas and vision and mission. He added “With these differences I think it can be a color in this HMPS” he said.

In contrast to that, candidate pair number 02 also gave their opinion regarding this candidate debate activity. In this activity they did not experience any problems, but he added “Yesterday's event was not a debate, but rather a presentation regarding the vision and mission and work program which was followed by questions by panelists or department lecturers, and from the audience” he said.

With active participation in Pemira, students of the History and Islamic Civilization Study Program are expected to be able to produce leaders with integrity and be able to bring positive change to the alma mater.
