South Tangerang, FAH Online – Arabic Language and Literature Study Program (BSA) Faculty of Adab and Humanities held a group viewing event with two drama works entitled Arrohal and Ar-Rojul al-Ajuz on Tuesday (30/12/2025). Taking place at the Bustami Abdul Ghani Theater on the 5th Floor, this event is a showcase for student creativity in converting literary texts into in-depth visual works.

This activity, which takes place from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB, is a collaborative project for Class A and C students as a form of fulfilling the End of Semester Examination (UAS) for the Al-Masrokhiyyah Al-'Arabiyyah course. This event was attended by BSA lecturers and general students who were enthusiastic about witnessing the hard work of their colleagues through the theater screen.

In the screening, the audience is presented with two stories that have strong characteristics. The first play, Muhammad Rifki's Arrohal, takes the audience into a post-war dystopian world where humanity has lost the ability to read. This story highlights the mission of saving a classic book by the main character who must bet his life across the seas and deserts to protect the remains of civilization.

Meanwhile, the second drama entitled Ar-Rojul al-Ajuz presents sharp social criticism. Adapted from a script by Jasmiko which won 3rd place at the 9th National Theater Festival at the University of Riau, this drama photographs the tension between Javanese culture and rigid religious understanding. Through the character of a student who has only studied for three years but feels the most pious, this drama depicts how local traditions such as pythons are often considered heresy and culturally heretical.

Class C Production Leader, Jasmiko, started the welcoming session by expressing her pride at the completion of this project. He expressed his appreciation to the entire team who had worked actively behind the scenes and expressed his hopes regarding the essence of the story being told.

"This is a very extraordinary work, although there are certainly many shortcomings in it. "I would like to thank all parties who have played an active role and hope that the message in this drama can truly be conveyed to the entire audience," said Jasmiko.

Lecturer on the Al-Masrokhiyyah Al-'Arabiyyah Course, Dr. Ekawati, MA, in her next speech gave deep appreciation for the visual work produced by students. He emphasized that this course was designed to stimulate creativity and practical application of literary science.

"I really appreciate this student's work. "This course was deliberately created to bring out creations from students so that they are able to produce real work," said Dr. Ekawati.

Head of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program, Dr. Minatur Rokhim, MA, closed the series of remarks by emphasizing the strategic position of this course as one of the highlights of the study program. He also presented a big vision to bring student work into the international realm.

"The Al-Masrokhiyyah Al-'Arabiyyah course is one of the superior courses and we will continue to develop it. "In the future, we will try to present student groups on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day and plan to invite ambassadors from Middle Eastern countries," stressed Dr. Rokhim's interest.

The solemn event closed with a response session from lecturers who gave constructive evaluations, then ended with an official closure by the moderator.
