Theater, FAH News Online, HMPS History of Islamic civilization- The department for developing interests and talents held a Beauty Class event with the theme Perfecting Bauty with a Touch of Natural, at the Abdul Ghani theater on the 5th floor, Tuesday (07/10/2024).

This event aims to provide students with an understanding of the importance of taking care of themselves and beauty as part of appearance that can improve self-image.

Present at this event was Deputy Dean I, Dr. Ida Farida, MLIS, and students enthusiastically took part in this activity. In his speech, Dr. Ida said that this activity reflects increasing public awareness of the importance of taking care of oneself. "This shows that prosperity in Indonesia has increased. "Apart from the face, health is also very important," he said. He also emphasized the importance of choosing halal make-up products.

Furthermore, Dr. Ida added that this event not only revolves around beauty, but can also be a research topic. Library Science students, for example, can research cosmetics and search for related information, while History of Islamic Civilization students can link these activities to historical research. Apart from that, this event also opens up business opportunities for students, considering the rapidly growing cosmetics industry out there.

This event presented presenters from experienced students and make-up practitioners (MUA). One of the sources, Maulida Firia, a 7th semester student majoring in the History of Islamic Civilization, presented a theory about natural make-up. According to Maulida, "Make-up aims to make ourselves more confident. This doesn't mean that when we don't wear make-up we are not confident, but make-up helps us appear more confident in public. Make-up is also a skill that not everyone has, and now even many male content creators are involved in the world of make-up.

Then resource person Fiina Karlina, an instaperfect practitioner, conveyed the rules and practices for using make-up properly and correctly. Use of prime skin up to the Makeup setting stage

With a variety of interesting presentations and discussions, this event is expected to provide new insights for participants and encourage them to care more about self-care and healthy beauty.
