134th Faculty of Adab and Humanities Judiciary: Realizing a Reputable Generation for Advanced Indonesia

South Tangerang, FAH Online News – Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held its 134th Judiciary at the Syahida Inn Hotel on Thursday, November 14 2024. This event carries the theme, “The Realization of a Generation with a Repute to Create an Advanced Indonesia”, which was attended by lecturers, staff, students, as well as families of graduates and graduates.

Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, M.Hum., delivered an inspiring message to graduates who will start a new chapter in their lives. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of working with heart and adapting your career to your respective passions. “We can work according to our heart and passion. Working with the heart will provide deeper meaning in our career journey,” he said.

Furthermore, Dr. Ade reminds graduates of their identity as graduates of Islamic universities, carrying the name of Islam every step of the way. “We carry the name of Islam after graduating from here, and it must be looked after properly," he added. He also hopes that UIN graduates will be able to become good preachers, in line with the Islamic values they learn on campus.

As a UIN alumnus, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the university's vision and mission in everyday life. “As UIN alumni, we must uphold and implement the university's vision and mission in real contributions to society,” he said.

Dr. Ade also highlighted the importance of work experience and the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Merdeka Campus) program as a provision for graduates in facing the world of work. In addition, he said that graduates should fill out user forms to get feedback from where they work. This is necessary to improve the quality of graduates and as part of tracer study which is very important for accreditation of study programs.

Best Graduate Award

On this occasion, FAH awarded the best graduates at faculty level for bachelor's (S1) and master's (S2) levels. The best undergraduate graduate award was given to Shafira Assyifa from the Library Science Study Program, while the best master's graduate was won by Iqbal Maulana from the Master's Study Program in the History of Islamic Culture. Their achievements are an inspiration for other colleagues to always give their best.

Apart from that, the best graduates from each study program are also announced:

  1. Muhammad Ziyad Hubbillah from the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program (BSA)
  2. Fadhillah Nur Pratiwi from the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program (SPI)
  3. Farid Abdul Malik from the Tarjamah Study Program
  4. Shafira Assyifa from the Library Science Study Program
  5. Umar Mukhtar from the English Literature Study Program
  6. Iqbal Maulana from the Master of History of Islamic Culture Study Program

The judiciary was also enlivened with a seminar session featuring resource person Dr. Agus Syabarrudin and moderator Mugy Nugraha, M.Si, who are lecturers from the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program. This seminar is an inspiring session that provides additional insight for graduates about the challenges of the world of work and the importance of reputation in building a quality career.

With the holding of the 134th judiciary, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities hopes that the graduates produced will not only have superior academic qualities but will also be able to uphold Islamic values in every aspect of life. FAH continues to be committed to producing a generation with integrity, competence and broad insight for the realization of a more advanced Indonesia.
