South Tangerang, FAH Online News – The Student Association of the Islamic History and Civilization (SPI) Study Program at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, through its Creative Economy Department, organized a thrift clothing bazaar on Sunday (July 12, 2026). The event was held beside the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and was designed as a learning platform for SPI students to gain practical experience in entrepreneurship while promoting financial self-reliance within the Student Association.

As one of the department's official work programs, the bazaar was led by Thoriq Aziz Dawaisla and Muhammad Irfan Fadhilla, President and Vice President of HMPS SPI for the 2026–2027 term. The event was warmly welcomed by students of the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program as well as members of the HMPS SPI executive board.

In an interview, Dwi Karomah, Head of the Creative Economy Department of HMPS SPI, explained that the initiative aims to strengthen the organization's financial independence while serving as a practical learning experience for students in developing an entrepreneurial mindset from an early stage of their academic journey.

"This program is intended to build financial self-reliance within HMPS SPI. By financial independence, we do not mean becoming entirely independent of the Faculty, but rather ensuring that the organization can continue implementing its programs even when the allocated funding is insufficient. At the same time, this initiative serves as a learning platform for students to develop entrepreneurial character and skills while they are still at university," she explained.

The bazaar featured a variety of thrift clothing products, including shirts, trousers, and other apparel. In the future, the range of products is expected to expand through partnerships established between HMPS SPI and business partners. Planned additions include food and beverages, fashion accessories, and other merchandise.

Through this initiative, HMPS SPI hopes to strengthen its financial sustainability while encouraging the emergence of future entrepreneurs from among students of the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program.
