FAH UIN Jakarta Successfully Holds Closing Digital Humanities 2025 with Arts, Music and Awards
FAH Online News - Jakarta, 26 September 2025 – Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta successfully held the Closing Digital Humanities 2025 event on Friday (26/9) at the Bustami Abdul Ghani Theater, 5th floor of FAH UIN Jakarta. This event is the culmination of the International Competition of Sustainable Development Based Digital Humanities series which involves students from various departments.
The Chief Executive, M Yusuf Ghozin, said that the works and ideas born from this event were clear evidence of FAH students' readiness to face the future. “Our hope is that this event can give birth to new ideas for students, in various aspects,” he said.
Wadek 3 FAH UIN Jakarta, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin S.Ag., MA, MA, Ph.D also provides a psychological view of the importance of healthy competition. According to him, a well-run competition has a positive impact, starting from training businesses, improving communication skills, solving problems, honing critical thinking skills, to strengthening participants' memory.
This event was also the moment when the winners of the four competition branches were announced, namely Indonesian Essay, Arabic Debate, Videography and Scientific Writing.
Apart from announcing the winners, the event became even more lively with art performances from students, including the Betawi regional dance “Fall Flower Dance” by Artefah, as well as musical performances from the Artefah Band, MEL Band (Sasing), and SAM Band.
This event also collaborates with the weekly news magazine Tempo and the Institute for Advanced Science, Social, and Sustainable Future to support the publication of writings that have won scientific writing competitions.
With this series of activities, the Faculty of Adab and Humanities hopes that students will be better prepared to face global challenges with innovative ideas based on digital humanities and a spirit of collaboration.
