Cirebon, FAH Online News — The Faculty of Adab and Humanities of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta participated in the 2026 International Seminar and International Competition of the Forum of Lecturers of Adab and Humanities in Indonesia (ADIA), held in Cirebon from July 22 to 25, 2026. This international academic forum served as a strategic platform for academics, researchers, and students to strengthen collaboration, exchange ideas, and advance the study of adab and the humanities in the digital era.

The delegation from FAH UIN Jakarta was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum. The delegation also included the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs, and lecturers from various departments within the faculty. The participation of the faculty’s leadership alongside its lecturers reflected the strong commitment of the FAH academic community to strengthening academic culture, improving research quality, and expanding collaborative networks at both national and international levels.

Carrying the theme “Revitalizing Adab and Humanities in the Cyber Era for Strengthening the World’s Civilized Nations,” the forum featured a wide range of academic activities, including international seminars, research presentations, academic discussions, and scholarly competitions involving participants from various universities across Indonesia. The event provided a collaborative space for academics to discuss strategic issues related to adab and the humanities amid technological development and digital transformation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., stated that participation in international forums such as ADIA 2026 formed part of the faculty’s efforts to strengthen an excellent academic culture, promote the publication of research in reputable academic journals, and expand collaboration with universities and academic institutions both in Indonesia and abroad.

According to him, FAH UIN Jakarta’s participation in the forum was also in line with the faculty’s commitment to continuously improving the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, particularly in the fields of education, research, and community service. In addition to serving as a platform for disseminating research findings, the event opened opportunities for collaborative research, joint publications, academic exchanges, and the development of programs that contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

Through interactions with academics from various institutions, the FAH UIN Jakarta delegation had the opportunity to broaden its academic perspectives, build professional networks, and explore various forms of sustainable academic collaboration. It is expected that active participation in the forum will further strengthen FAH UIN Jakarta’s contribution to the development of adab, humanities, and Islamic studies at both national and international levels.

Participation in the 2026 Forum of Lecturers of Adab and Humanities in Indonesia (ADIA) marked one of FAH UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta’s concrete steps in supporting the internationalization of higher education. Through this forum, FAH aims to continue expanding academic collaboration networks, increasing research and publication productivity, and strengthening its role in responding to the challenges facing the development of adab and humanities studies in the era of digital transformation.
