FAH UIN Jakarta Participates in the 2025 ADIA International Conference, Showing Various Cultural, Literary and Information Literacy Studies

Surakarta, FAH Online News – The Association of Adab Science Lecturers (ADIA) successfully held the 2025 ADIA Annual International Conference with the theme “Cultural Resilience and Digital Literacy for a Diverse Society”, which lasted for five days, 21–25 July 2025, at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This conference is a meeting place
international scale science for academics, researchers, students and practitioners from various scientific fields of manners, language, history and information, both offline and online.
The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta actively participated as a participant in this conference by presenting lecturers from various study programs who presented scientific papers online. These lecturers include:

The conference was officially opened by the Chancellor of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Prof. Dr. H. Toto Suharto, M.Ag., and attended by national figures such as KGPAA. Mangkoenagoro X and Chairman of ADIA, Prof. Dr. M. Faisol, M.Ag. Director General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Suyitno, M.Ag., was present as a keynote speaker who emphasized the importance of integrating Islamic values in cultural literacy and digital transformation. 

This conference presented international resource persons, including Dr. Restu Gunawan (Ministry of Culture), Dr. Suzie Handajani (Gadjah Mada University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ermy Azziaty Rozali (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), and Prof. Dr. Sharief Saad Mohamed Aljayyar (Egypt). They discussed various cutting-edge issues such as local cultural resilience, the role of technology in education, and ethical challenges in the global information age.

More than one hundred papers were presented in parallel sessions organized in a hybrid manner. The themes raised reflect a broad scientific spectrum, starting from the history of Indonesian Islam, feminist thought in popular culture, preserving local heritage through a digital approach, to strengthening information literacy for the younger generation.

FAH UIN Jakarta's participation shows the faculty's commitment to strengthening scientific contributions at national and international levels. With a diversity of studies
delivered, FAH also enriches academic discourse regarding culture, literacy and the development of adab science in a digital context.

The activity closed with a green education tour which invited participants to visit cultural sites in Solo, confirming that the interaction between culture and education not only takes place in the classroom, but also in lively experiential spaces.
