FAH UIN Jakarta Holds Coordination and Release Meeting to Welcome Retired Lecturers, Discusses Lecturer Scheduling and Research Policy
South Tangerang, FAH Online — Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Faculty Coordination Meeting which was combined with a procession to release retired lecturers on Tuesday (10/2/2026) in the Main Courtroom on the 2nd Floor of the FAH Building. This activity is a strategic momentum in strengthening academic governance while also giving appreciation to lecturers who have completed their service period.
The coordination meeting discussed preparations for scheduling lecturers for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, strengthening academic policy, research and faculty services. This activity was also combined with a loose procession to welcome two retired lecturers, namely Prof. Dr. Achmad Satori from the Tarjamah and Drs .Tarmizi, MA Study Program from the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program, as a form of respect for the dedication and academic contributions that have been made over the years.
The meeting agenda was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, the Deputy Deans, the Chair and Secretary of the Study Program, the FAH Quality Assurance Group, retired lecturers, and educational staff. The presence of leadership elements, lecturers and educational staff reflects a shared commitment to improving the quality of governance and academic services within FAH.
In his speech, the Dean of FAH Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., SS, M.Hum. emphasizes the importance of scheduling lecturers in an orderly, coordinated manner and in accordance with the academic needs of each study program. Well-planned scheduling is considered to be the main foundation in maintaining the quality of the learning process and ensuring the smooth running of lectures in the current semester.
The Dean also highlighted the implementation of lecturer meetings which had not been considered optimal. To increase the effectiveness of decision making and lecturer participation, in the future the implementation of lecturer meetings will be maximized at the study program level so that discussions are more focused, contextual, and in accordance with the needs of each scientific field.
Apart from the academic aspect, the Dean emphasized that strengthening research and internationalization remains a strategic priority for the Faculty of Adab and Humanities. All lecturers are expected to be able to align the implementation of the tridharma of higher education with faculty research policies, as well as play an active role in improving the quality and quantity of research output that has competitiveness at national and international levels.
On the same occasion, the Dean of FAH also conveyed a special impression and message in the context of releasing retired lecturers. The Dean expressed his deep respect and gratitude for the devotion, exemplary and dedication of the retired lecturers who have made great contributions to the scientific development, teaching and progress of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities.
According to him, the academic values, scientific ethics and spirit of devotion that have been instilled by retired lecturers are valuable legacies that need to be maintained and continued by the next generation of lecturers. The Dean hopes that the friendship and contribution of thought of the retired lecturers will continue to be established, even though they have entered their retirement period.
The activity agenda then closed with a procession to release retired lecturers as a symbol of appreciation and an expression of gratitude from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities for the services and dedication of the lecturers. The Faculty expresses its highest appreciation for the dedication it has given during its term of service, and wishes you health and blessings in the next phase of service.
It is hoped that this agenda will be a momentum to strengthen synergy among the entire academic community of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities in improving the quality of academic, research and educational services. Through better governance arrangements and appreciation for the dedication of retired lecturers, FAH UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is committed to continuing the tradition of science, service and professionalism in a sustainable manner.
