Dean’s Office, FAH News – The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta held an important meeting with State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 11 Jakarta to sign a memorandum of understanding regarding the Talent Recruitment Program for new students. The meeting was held in the Dean's Office on the second floor on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

The event was attended by the Third Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation, Professor Dr. Usep Abdul Matin, M.A., Ph.D., accompanied by the Dean's Secretary Mrs. Sukasih Nur, M.I.Kom. From MAN 11 Jakarta, the school principal Mrs. Halimatussa'diyah, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. attended along with several leaders and staff members: Mrs. Novita Reiny, M.Pd. (Vice Principal for Infrastructure), Mr. Mumin, S.Pd. (Guidance and Counseling Teacher), and Mr. Abdul Basit, S.Sn. (Public Relations Officer).

In his welcoming speech, Prof. Dr. Usep Abdul Matin expressed his happiness and enthusiasm for the visit and kind initiative from MAN 11 Jakarta. He said that Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta welcomes cooperation that opens wider opportunities for high school students to continue their higher education.

"We greatly appreciate schools that take the initiative and are enthusiastic about encouraging their students to continue university education, especially to Syarif Hidayatullah University. We are open and ready to support outstanding students from MAN 11 Jakarta," said Prof. Usep.

He added that Syarif Hidayatullah University offers several scholarship programs, such as: KIP Kuliah (Indonesia Smart College Card), BIP (Indonesia Smart Scholarship), BLU (Public Service Agency), and other scholarships that qualified students can benefit from.

"Interested students should register, and we will help and guide them to get the best opportunities," he added.

Meanwhile, the principal of MAN 11 Jakarta, Mrs. Halimatussa'diyah, M.Pd., said: "We have established partnerships with some faculties at Syarif Hidayatullah University, but our visit to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities is a strategic step to expand access and opportunities for our students."

She added: "We aim to strengthen the partnership so that outstanding students at our school can enroll in this faculty. The interest in joining Syarif Hidayatullah University is high, and we want to support them through this cooperation."

The meeting discussed concrete follow-up plans including student preparation, scholarship information sessions, and academic guidance for students interested in studying at FAH UIN Jakarta. Both institutions are committed to continuing to strengthen this educational collaboration in the future
