FAH MSKI Study Program Holds Interview Test for New Student Candidates for Odd 2025/2026: Strict Selection for Excellent Students
South Tangerang, FAH News Online - The Master of Islamic History and Culture (MSKI) Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH), State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has successfully held an interview test for prospective new students for the odd academic year 2025/2026. This activity took place on Thursday, 17 July 2025, starting at 10.00 WIB, by combining online methods through Zoom meetings and offline in the MSKI Study Program room, FAH Building.
This interview test was organised by the MSKI Study Program, with a team of interviewers consisting of competent lecturers, namely Dr. Mauidlotun Nisa, M.Hum., as Deputy Head of the Master of Islamic History and Culture Study Program, Dr. Awalia Rahma, M.A., and Dr. Halid, M.Ag. On this occasion, four prospective students who had passed the file selection were invited to take part in this crucial stage.
The main purpose of this interview is to explore the academic potential, motivation, and readiness of prospective students in pursuing education at the master's level. The interview atmosphere was calm, but occasionally shrouded in tension, especially when prospective students faced questions that required in-depth answers.
In the interview session, prospective students are faced with various fundamental questions designed to test their readiness, including academic background including undergraduate study history and thesis experience, thesis plans ranging from ideas, topic classification, sources, to their relevance to the Islamic world, study commitment with an emphasis on timely graduation targets, as well as research and language skills such as journal literacy and scientific articles, especially in English and Arabic.
This rigorous selection process is expected to attract the best prospective students who not only have qualified academic capacity, but also high commitment to complete their studies and contribute to the development of knowledge, especially in the field of Islamic History and Culture.
